Dear artists, we are pleased to announce the creation of a new art festival in Brooklyn,New York, Art Slope. Making its home in and around the grounds of one of the world’s greatest urban public spaces, Prospect Park, Art Slope is set to be inaugurated one month before the park’s 150th anniversary celebration this coming October 2016. Art Slope offers unprecedented access to a rare and priceless venue: nature-based, open-air and vast with site-specific potential.
The Park Slope Civic Council, in cooperation with the NYC Parks and the Prospect Park Alliance, formally request your proposals for sculpture and installation works. This exhibition opportunity comes with an elevated level of responsibility, and the strict guidelines set forth by NYC Parks must be followed in order to maintain eligibility and participation. Works not following the exact criteria listed will not be considered for installation.

- Applications will be accepted beginning March 12, 2016
- Application deadline: April 16, 2016 [extended to April 23, 2016]
- Anticipated acceptance notification: By August 1st, 2016
