Brooklyn’s Big Tent Art Show
We are kicking off Art Slope with a special opening night exhibit aka Brooklyn's Big Tent Art Show. Located at Shapeshifter Lab in Gowanus, the exhibit will run September 16 (opening night) thru October 8.
Curators: Jonathan Blum, Dara Oshin, and Eric Wolf
Curators Theme: Big Tent
Art Slope seeks to bring together artists of all disciplines, backgrounds, and abilities. As such, the theme for this event is 'big tent.' When something is described as a 'big tent' it is said to be welcoming of people from different backgrounds, lifestyles, and opinions; diversity is one of Brooklyn's most notable characteristics and one of its biggest strengths. 'Big tent' also refers to the circus, and Brooklyn, at times, has its share of spectacle and carnival-like atmosphere. Artists are invited submit artwork related to the theme and interpret it they see fit.
To submit work, please see instructions below.
Artists will be listed separately from ARTslope artists list, as Big Tent exhibitors
